The Oakland County Cruisers Baseball Academy is owned and operated by Baseball Heroes of Oakland County, LP, owners of the Frontier League’s Midwest Sliders and developers of the 3,900-seat professional baseball stadium soon to be constructed behind the Summit Place Mall in Waterford Twp. At that time, the Sliders will become the Oakland County Cruisers.
Eric Coleman is now making his year-round home neighboring Clarkston here in Oakland
County, making him the only Frontier League skipper to reside in the community in which he’d be managing.
Coach Coleman’s desire to direct our baseball academy instructional programs underscores his deep commitment to developing local baseball and softball talent among individuals and teams dedicated to honing their skills.
With almost 15,000 square feet, the Academy features the latest generation IRON MIKE™ pitching machines in four baseball and softball batting cages; two full-length tunnels with pro pitching mounds and batter’s boxes for pitching and hitting instruction, as well as a dedicated soft-toss area.
Upon completion of their new home, the Cruisers’ baseball stadium will serve as venue for The Academy’s outdoor instructional camps, thus providing participating individuals and teams with a training facility unrivaled in southeast Michigan.
We look forward to providing area players from ages 6 to 46 and older with the very best in baseball and softball instruction.
