FACILITY
The Oakland County Cruisers Baseball Academy, together with the Cruisers’ soon-to-be constructed 3,900-seat baseball stadium, is ushering in a new era of community baseball here in Oakland County and throughout southeast Michigan.
The Academy, with just under 15,000 square feet devoted to baseball instruction, is proud to be relying upon Master Pitching Machine of Kansas City, MO, producer of Iron Mike™ Pitching Machines, for its instructional equipment.
Master Pitching Machine, the world leader in the design and production of commercial pitching machines and batting cage equipment, pioneered the development of arm-styled pitching machines.
Irrespective of batting stance and philosophy on mechanics, hitting has to be about timing which, of course, requires you to follow the pitcher’s release of the ball. An arm-style pitching machine is the only type of pitching machine that allows you to practice the same fundamentals in the batting cage as you use on the baseball diamond.
Our indoor instruction is aided by the following equipment:
- Two baseball MA-4 pitching machines (66 feet long x 15 feet wide)
- Two fast-pitch softball MA-4 pitching machines (66 feet long x 15 feet wide)
- E-2 Elevator Systems for ball automated retrieval, distribution and reuse
- Two hitting/pitching tunnels (70 feet long x 14 feet wide) with baseball and softball mounds, L-Screens, batter’s boxes
- 320 sq. ft. area dedicated to soft-toss and hitting from adjustable home plate tees
