MATT DILLARD – ACADEMY MANAGER/BASEBALL INSTRUCTOR

Matt Dillard was a four-year letter winner at Waterford Mott High School where he became one of the top baseball recruits in the State.

The 6/7 200 lb. right-handed pitcher attended Eastern Michigan University, where he was a member of two MAC West Championship clubs and one MAC Conference Championship team from 2003-07.

Following his collegiate career, Dillard went on to play professional baseball, signing with the New York State League’s Utica Brewmasters and playing under manager Dave Cash (MLB ’69-’80) and pitching coach Brooks Carey.  He then signed a contract with the independent Frontier League’s Traverse City Beach Bums, where he spent the 2007 and ’08 seasons.

Most recently, Dillard has been the assistant coach at his alma mater, Waterford Mott H.S.
