ERIC COLEMAN – LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Prior to becoming Field Manager and Director of Player Development for the Frontier League Midwest Sliders, Eric Coleman spent 14 years coaching baseball across the U.S. and Canada at the Junior College and NCAA Division I ranks.  He also coached eight seasons in various collegiate summer leagues.

Coach Coleman started his career at San Jose City College, where he served as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator.  During his tenure at San Jose City College, he coached eight Junior College All-Americans and helped place numerous student-athletes in NCAA Div.1 schools across the country, including Cal State Fullerton, South Carolina, Long Beach State, Tennessee and UC Irvine.

E.C. was the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Diablo Valley College and San Diego Mesa College in California and then headed eastward to Niagara University where he served in the same capacities. During these stints he coached two more Junior College All- Americans and two MLB Draft picks.

For eight summers Coach Coleman has been either head coach or pitching coach with clubs in the Northwoods League, Texas Collegiate League, Coastal Plains League and Western Major Baseball League (Canada).  All eight of his teams earned trips to the playoffs and in 2007, E.C. led the Okotoks Dawgs to the WMBL Championship.
